Limestone rock sand, also known as crushed limestone sand, is produced by crushing limestone into fine, sand-sized particles used for compaction and leveling. Limestone chips, typically around 3/8 inch in size, are small, angular pieces of crushed stone that provide more texture and stability than rounded pea gravel. Because of their irregular shape, these materials lock together better and support both structural and decorative applications where durability and drainage are important.
