Lime Screening (choker sand)

Lime screening, also known as choker sand, is a finely crushed limestone material typically 1/4 inch and smaller, designed for tight compaction and surface leveling. Its fine texture allows it to fill voids between larger aggregate and create a smooth, stable base that locks in place under pressure. Because it compacts firmly while maintaining a clean limestone finish, it’s widely used in hardscape and surface preparation projects.
