Slag #73 INDOT

INDOT #73 slag is a dense graded aggregate made from crushed steel slag that meets Indiana Department of Transportation specifications. Typically ranging from 3/4 inch down to fines, this well-balanced blend compacts tightly to form a smooth, stable, and durable base. Its angular particles interlock under pressure, providing strong load-bearing support and long-term resistance to rutting and settlement.

Because it compacts more finely than #53, INDOT #73 slag is often selected for residential and light commercial base applications where a tighter finish is desired.
