Select surge is a coarse, clean aggregate specifically graded for drainage and erosion control applications. Made up of larger stone with little to no fines, this material allows high volumes of water to flow through while maintaining structural stability. Its open-graded composition prevents clogging and promotes effective runoff management, making it ideal for projects that require dependable water movement and long-term performance.

Because select surge does not compact like dense graded base, it is best suited for free-draining environments rather than structural base layers.
