Unscreened soil is a dense, natural fill material that contains rocks, roots, branches, and other debris that remain after excavation. Compared to screened soil, it is heavier and more compact, making it ideal for filling holes, building up low areas, and rough grading before applying topsoil or landscaping soil. This material is best suited for base fill applications rather than finished surfaces and may occasionally contain residual debris such as plastic or glass.
