Limestone 2"–4", also known as 2x4 limestone, large crushed limestone, coarse drainage stone, or stabilization rock, is a heavy-duty angular aggregate typically measuring approximately 2 to 4 inches. Its substantial size and fractured shape provide strong load support, dependable drainage, and long-term stability in demanding construction and site-development applications.
The large stone creates open spaces that allow water to move freely through the material, while its angular edges help the pieces interlock and resist shifting under runoff, equipment traffic, and changing ground conditions. This makes 2"–4" limestone especially effective in wet, soft, or erosion-prone areas where smaller aggregate may not provide enough support.
