#789 granite, also known as #789 stone, granite screenings or compactable granite fines, is a finely graded crushed aggregate typically ranging from approximately 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch its often a blend of #7, #8 and #9 stone. Its balanced blend of angular granite chips and fines allows the material to spread evenly and compact into a smooth, firm, and stable surface.

When properly graded and mechanically compacted, #789 granite creates a durable surface that resists shifting, rutting, and erosion while supporting controlled water movement.
#789 granite is popular for residential, commercial, and landscape projects because it combines the hardness and wear resistance of granite with dependable compaction and a clean natural finish.
